Moving stories in new podcast
That traveling broadens one’s mind can be called an undisputed fact – countless proverbs and quotes in all languages prove it. Mark Twain has been quoted as saying, “Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts.”
According to surveys SAS has conducted, true travelers have several traits in common, and being open-minded is one of them. You also often want to change the world and find new priorities and ideas while traveling.
SAS’ new podcast, We are travelers – the journey that changed my life, brings you stories of Scandinavian travelers who have made a journey of a lifetime.
“Sometimes you end up in the middle of nowhere, and maybe it’s the middle of nowhere you have to go to find yourself,” says Aleksandra Orbeck-Nilssen, a Norwegian model who found peace of mind in Africa. She closed her eyes, spun a globe and stuck her finger on it – it landed on Namibia.
Madeleine Vall, on the other hand, knew she wanted to travel to Thailand, but she couldn’t have known what was ahead of her when she tried Thai boxing for the first time. Today, she’s a Swedish, Nordic and European Champion, and a World Championship bronze medalist, who found her way onto the silver screen as a warrior in Wonder Woman.
The episodes are in English, ranging between 15 and 30 minutes in length. The podcast series is produced by Norwegian company, Vrang Produksjon.
