Woof!

Red Dog, a small kitsch bar in Beijing’s Sanlitun Soho development, is colorful in all senses of the word. Enjoy the disco tunes, psychedelic art and punchy drinks with a super laid-back and friendly LGBT crowd.

The Behemoth

The original, the only, and still the best LGBT mega club in Beijing. Show up late on Friday and Saturday nights for wall-to-wall gay men and thumping music across multiple rooms and a more chilled garden scene.

Hunks Ahoy!

Anchor hosts regular LGBT community events, like the fun and feisty twice-monthly drag night, featuring both queens and kings. On regular nights, they serve up a cracking selection of cocktails and pub grub in a relaxed and inclusive setting.

A Shot in the Dark

With shooters for as little as a dollar, Kai Club is one of the cheapest and least-classy gay bars in town. The decor is basic, the tunes more so, but the booze (however questionable) is free flowing and the clientele are always down to party.

Dive In

From the owners of Red Dog comes Ginger, a self-proclaimed dive bar with reasonably-priced cocktails, especially during the daily 2-for-1 happy hour between 6pm and 8pm, and satisfying booze food. There’s also house music and dancing on the weekends.
